St. Patrick’s, Lebanon

Please reflect on your participation in the life of your congregation, the diocese, and the larger community:

I am a lifelong Episcopalian and have been a member of St. Patrick’s Lebanon for 25 years. I have served St. Patrick’s as a vestryman, junior warden, chorister, lay reader, convention delegate, leader of the brass ensemble, and acolyte wrangler. I developed and presented adult education classes on the history, theology, and polity of Anglicanism. At the Diocesan level, I am a graduate of the Southern Ohio Lay Leadership Initiative (SOLLI) and also served as SOLLI coordinator. I have served on Diocesan Council, and currently serve on the Procter Center Board of Directors, where I lead the Programming and Special Events committee. Through my experiences with my parish and the Diocese, I am consistently amazed and humbled to see how people find their inner gifts and express them outwardly.

Why do you feel God is calling you to serve in this position?

I am a project manager for a global engineering and construction company and am working on projects to bring renewable energy to countries in the Mediterranean, the Middle East and the Caribbean islands. I have had the good fortune to be able to experience a wide spectrum of cultures and experiences and especially to learn how we are viewed by people who are not like us. Everyone has something to share, and there are so many ways to serve: by action , by leadership, by example. I have been blessed with many gifts and feel called to give back by serving God and my fellow people however I can.
