Curate, All Saints, New Albany
Please reflect on your participation in the life of your congregation, the diocese, and the larger community:
I have the privilege of serving as Curate at All Saints in New Albany where I assist the rector, oversee our children and youth ministries, participate regularly in sacramental life of the parish, and lead our evangelism efforts throughout the local community. I work closely with local businesses, have built particularly close relationship with the local Latino community, and partner with local government as chaplain. I am a member of the Diocesan Commission on Congregational Life and serve as an appointee to the Diocesan Disciplinary Board.
Why do you feel God is calling you to serve in this position?
I feel God is calling me to serve in this position because I believe that the Diocese and the greater Episcopal Church is being called to a place of spiritual renewal. As part of that renewal we are being called to seek and respond to where the Holy Spirit is leading us as we deepen our faith in Jesus Christ. Our Diocese is called to intentionally and comprehensively discern methods and opportunities for our local parishes to not only be disciples of Jesus, but also to make disciples. I believe that my experience leading within private organizations and in the church, coupled with my passion for local ministry have brought to the place where I would be honored to serve God and the church in this capacity.
