Please describe your participation in the life of your congregation, the diocese, and the larger community
For 18 1/2 years, I was the CFO of the Diocese. During that time, I was an active participant in the Trustees’ meetings. I have continued to serve the diocese since I left in 2007 as a financial consultant. This means I help in any way that I can – in the finance department, for congregations’ financial situations… I also served on the diocesan Altar Guild committee where I coordinated Bishop Breidenthal’s consecration.
At Redeemer, I have served as Treasurer, on the Vestry, a founding member of the Sacristans, over 25 years as an Altar Guild member, 9 years as a church school teacher and on various Ad-Hoc committees as requested.
I have been the Treasurer of the North Avondale Neighborhood Association, and until recently, a Therapy Pet Partner in Cincinnati.
Why do you feel God is calling you to serve in this position?
I always want to use my accounting skills and financial knowledge for a larger purpose. As a licensed CPA, with over 30 years as a CFO for major not-for-profits, I believe I can be useful and a reference for the types of decision making that the Trustees must perform as fiduciaries. I believe that serving as a Trustee would be the best fit for me. God blessed me with these gifts, and I would like to use them in the church as needed.
