I have been active in the Episcopal Church for over forty-five years. Participation has included being a member of Vestry, Formation for Common Ministry, Finance Committee, and Office Assistance. Regarding Diocesan involvement, I have been a delegate to convention, Nominations Chair for Dispatch of Business, Chair of Dispatch of Business, member and Chair of the Budget Committee, and Chair of the Finance Committee. Past volunteer positions in my community have included membership in the Westerville Chamber of Commerce (in which I coordinated the annual Arts Festival Breakfast); a room mother in the Westerville School system for 17 years; a member of the Capital Area Safety Council; Treasurer, Central Ohio Board of the International Dyslexia Association (DOBIDA); and participation in VITA (Volunteer Program with the IRS – we help prepare taxes for low income people). By invitation, I was a member of the Business Advisory Board at DeVry University. While a student at DeVry, I received the Harry Davis Leadership Award (which was accompanied by a scholarship) and was inducted into the Delta Epsilon Iota Academic Honor Society. To learn more about the Episcopal Church and how to be a better leader, I participated and was graduated from the SOLLI (Southern Ohio Lay Leadership Initiative) program.
I believe God calls us to share our talents with others. One of my talents is accounting. I have more than fifty (50) years in the field. I believe my accounting background as well as my involvement with the Diocesan Budget and Finance Committee serve as a springboard for a position as a Trustee. I would appreciate your vote of support. Thank you.
