Please describe your participation in the life of your congregation, the diocese, and the larger community
Over the past decade I have served as a member of Vestry, as both Jr. and Sr. Warden in my former parish and for the past 5 years with the DSO on the Church Foundation board. I have also been a regular supporter of our local food pantry and our thriving youth sports community. COVID curtailed much of everyone’s activity recently – including mine – but I’m happy to say that things are finally returning to normal and I look forward to resuming my full activities in the community.
Why do you feel God is calling you to serve in this position?
I have enjoyed my time over the past 5 years doing the important work of this body. In the past two years or so, we have made some significant changes (improvements) as to how the Church Foundation operates, interacts with the Diocese as well as with the staff to become even more effective than in the past. However, there is still much to do along these lines as well as transition to our next Bishop. I feel my work is not yet complete with this group and I pray that you allow me to return.
