Brad Sturm
Trinity, Columbus

Nominee for Trustee of the Church Foundation and Procter Board of Directors
Please describe your participation in the life of your congregation, the diocese, and the larger community
I am currently completing by second year of a 3-year term on the Diocesan Budget Committee and am a former member of Diocesan Council.
I have twice served as a vestry member, junior warden, and senior warden at Trinity Columbus, and have also served as Trinity’s vestry clerk and treasurer. Last year as senior warden, I was tasked with managing the transition from our 24th Rector to our Interim Priest in Charge.
I am a member of Trinity’s vision committee that is responsible for developing the parish profile as we prepare to call our 25th rector. I am a lector and active participant in Trinity’s In The Garden Ministry, where we provide a hot meal on Sunday afternoons to the street people in downtown Columbus.
Why do you feel God is calling you to serve in this position?
I recently completed my career at OPERS where I spent 28 years investing in commercial real estate for the retirement system. For the last 13 years, I was the lead portfolio manager for the $9 billion real estate portfolio. I feel called to share my experience in real estate portfolio management with the Diocese, to help determine how we can best use our real assets to fulfill our mission and glorify God.
