Resolved, that the Diocese of Southern Ohio urges all its individual members and congregations, clergy and bishop to participate in the efforts of the Episcopal Church to alleviate hunger and malnutrition by:
a) Recruiting a parish contact for the Hunger Network of the National Hunger Committee of the Episcopal Church,
b) Calling on the Bishop to appoint two members to the Province of the Mid-West’s Task Force on Hunger and Related Social Concerns,
c) Encouraging enrollment in the Hunger Network in Ohio,
d) Volunteering time, facilities, food and money to meet local and global food needs,
e) Urging policy makers and the entire community to call for increased use of our national resources to meet basic human needs,
f) Reporting through the Hunger Network in Ohio to the Human Affairs and Concerns Commission our individual, parish and diocesan efforts to address the hunger issue.
