R-86-08: A resolution on homelessness

Be it resolved, that the Human Affairs and Concerns Commission of the diocese be asked to continue to monitor the activities in the area of homelessness in our several regions and the relationship of the various parishes to those activities, and be it further

Resolved, that the Human Affairs and concerns Commission of the Diocese be asked to take the following steps to assist the Diocese in addressing the issues of homelessness in Southern Ohio:

1) Report in writing to each parish by February 15, 1987, a survey of parish, regional and diocesan programs already serving the homeless.

2) Prepare a report describing the depth of the problem and demonstrating the connection between homelessness and housing to be presented to Diocesan Council by June, 1987.
