Be it resolved, that following the sermons delivered on Sunday, November 23, 1986, the congregations of this diocese rise and reassemble outside their building to give visible support for an immediate end to apartheid in South Africa by spending a few moments in spoken and silent prayer on behalf of all of God’s people in South Africa, that there be an immediate, peaceful and just resolution of the racial tensions there, and
Be it further resolved, that we formally invite all other churches and synagogues in Southern Ohio to join us in this time of public prayer, and
Be it further resolved, that the delegates to this Convention do all in their power to enlist the active support and participation of the wider faith community in this event.
