Patrick Hreachmack

St. Mark’s, Columbus

Please reflect on your participation in the life of your congregation, the diocese, and the larger community:

By applying for the Budget Committee I hope to continue to serve the DSO with my firm commitment to our Lord. I believe that I am “paying it forward” for all the guidance, support, and my renewed relationship with God, which has enabled me to cope with my daily life including cancer in our family and friends. By serving on the committee, I am also able to provide my experience of over 33 years in health care administration finance and contracting negotiations, to the benefit of our Diocese. This not only provides peace in my life, but working on the Diocese financials also provides continuing strength to my self preservation.

Why do you feel God is calling you to serve in this position?

For many years, I struggled with life’s complications, until I returned to the Episcopal Church during the late 1980’s. Then when we relocated to Columbus in 2010, I found myself drawn deeper into the Church as our relationship with St. Mark’s grew. I relearned about the friendships and supporting relationships that the Church provided us. I became deeper involved by my commitment to serve as an usher and as one of the several people at St. Mark’s responsible for the weekly deposits. By serving on the Budget Committee, I know I can continue to provide my expertise for the benefit of our Diocese and as I mentioned above, “pay it forward” for our Community. I believe God’s hand is directly responsible for drawing me deeper into the Diocese and enhancing my personal well being.
