Kimberly Nelson

St. Patrick’s, Dublin

Please reflect on your participation in the life of your congregation, the diocese, and the larger community:

I have three years of experience on the board of the Episcopal Community Services Foundation (ECSF), for which I am grateful, and wish to continue to serve this organization and our ministry partners. I have enjoyed participating in the life of my home parish, St. Patrick’s in Dublin, for the past nine years. At St. Patrick’s, I am surrounded by a community of faithful people who inspire me to participate in ministries such as Eucharistic visiting and facilitating a women’s spirituality group. I enjoyed the time I spent on vestry, completing EfM, and also organizing the St. Patrick’s contribution to the His place ministry at St. John’s.

Why do you feel God is calling you to serve in this position?

I feel that God is calling me to respond to the people engaged in ministries across the diocese who so faithfully and generously live out their baptismal covenant in service to their neighbors. I am always moved by the stories our ministry partners share with us from their ministries, and I choose to serve them through this foundation. I also desire to continue working with my colleagues on the board as there is much work for us to do to enable this foundation to grow and thrive.

I have had the opportunity to organize people and projects to enable the business during my career in information technology. I also have an MBA from the University of Florida and an MA in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University, and I am currently enrolled in graduate school in Christian Spirituality at Creighton University, to help inform my service. I would be very grateful for an opportunity to continue to serve ECSF. Thank you for your consideration.
