Kathy Jose

Christ Church Cathedral, Cincinnati

Please reflect on your participation in the life of your congregation, the diocese, and the larger community:

While raising my family in Cathedral life, I have served on standing committees for nominating and camping and youth, and I currently serve on the grants committee. I was also dedicated to the work of strategic planning for the Cathedral and to its Bicentennial committee, as co-leader of a celebration for 200 attendees. Annually, my mother Pat Haug and I lead a team to produce the food for The Boar’s Head and Yule Log Festival cast and crew. I am certified Levels I and II Catechesis of the Good Shepherd and have been teaching for 13 years. I also support the work of the Episcopal Church through my job at Forward Movement.

Why do you feel God is calling you to serve in this position?

This summer I made my first trip to General Convention, to my great delight! It was inspiring and affirming, a refreshed look at being Episcopalian. I have organizational skills and a love for the Episcopal Church. I would appreciate the opportunity to serve the Church at the diocesan level, to expand the scope of my service to God and God’s people. You’ll certainly notice my absence at the Nominee’s Forum, as my mother and I attend the NYC Marathon to support my sister, a trip planned many months ago. I hope that you will still consider me when you vote.
